Introduction
SkyShark™ is AME Unmanned Air Systems' latest camera gimbal payload designed for use in small unmanned aircraft. By incorporating a compact design with advanced control and image processing algorithms, SkyShark™ represents a new generation of high-end camera payloads for small Unmanned Air Systems.
Modular Payload System
Design of the SkyShark™ system focuses on simplicity and ease of integration and operation. From its CANBus interface to its Piccolo autopilot "plug’n'play" operation, SkyShark™ provides an easily integrated gimbaled imager system with exceptional pointing and stabilization performance.
Advanced Capabilities
Through the use of a scalable, distributed control system, SkyShark™'s next generation capabilities have been integrated into a compact, lightweight, and robust package. SkyShark™ is pushing the performance envelope by providing high definition EO, high resolution LWIR, and low light EO video capability that yields high performance 24 hour imagery.
SkyShark™ offers an improved high resolution drive system, onboard video processing, target tracking, and GPS pointing capability. SkyShark™ advances the state of the art for small UAS developers with capabilities previously reserved for much larger and heavier systems. SkyShark™'s advanced capabilities and light weight will enable small unmanned aircraft, such as AME UAS’s Fury® to effectively perform the job of larger, more expensive unmanned systems.
