Chandler/May, Inc. is a system integration and product development company, that has delivered thousands of computer systems and I/O solutions to the Defense, Aerospace, Telecommunication and Industrial Markets.
Chandler/May, Inc. has been providing embedded computer solutions and integration services for the development of tactical ground control shelters, custom computer systems, simulators, test stations and trainers to the military and aerospace industries for over 15 years.
Chandler/May Inc.’s UAV Shelter division builds the Shadow Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Ground Control Station that is HMMWV mounted and is currently operational in several military deployments. In summer 2004, a new 25,000 square foot building came online to build, test and integrate UAV shelters. CMI incorporates the latest technologies into these shelters using CMI’s unique integration and test processes for rugged systems.
Chandler/May’s Computer System Solutions division designs and builds a line of comprehensive open architecture computer systems using COTS components. We have extensive experience building demanding mission critical applications using the latest commercial-off-the-shelf products from the leading VME, CompactPCI, PCI, PC/104 and Sun based suppliers.
The computer systems solutions division builds the VME Sun Solaris Workstations installed in each ground control shelter.
Chandler/May’s experience spans multiple disciplines including packaging, design, operating systems, middleware, software development, data acquisition and control, storage solutions, networking, video inspection and communications.

Chandler/May’s Large System Integration Division Builds the Ground Control Shelter for the Shadow 200 Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.
Chandler/May Inc.’s UAV Shelter division builds the Shadow Tactical Unmanned Vehicle Ground Control Shelter for AAI Corporation. Chandler/May, Inc. has delivered 50 HMWWV mounted shelters over the last three years. The Shelter is currently operational in several military deployments overseas.
Chandler/May incorporates the latest technologies into these shelters using Chandler/May’s unique integration and test processes for rugged systems. The Shelters utilize a wide range of Chandler/May capabilities, including the latest in machine shop technology, cable fabrication and rugged systems packaging as well as the incorporation of high-end embedded VME Sun based workstations, video and communications products.

All systems, racks, cables, components, subassemblies, monitors, computers, recording electronics and mechanical assemblies shown are built/procured, integrated and tested by Chandler/May, Inc.
Chandler/May, Inc. builds, installs and tests four workstations in each shelter. The two SUN workstations running Solaris are used by the Mission payload operator and the Air Vehicle Operator for complete control of the mission, the payload and the Shadow airframe.
Two high-end PC workstations are also installed in each Shelter. One PC performs flight recorder operations. The second PC workstation is used for pre-mission flight simulation and training for the operators.
